Valchiavenna is an open-air museum: walking through the streets in the town centre of Chiavenna and looking around you can observe how it has lived a past full of history and extraordinary works of art such as the beautiful palaces, the portals and the fountains made with pot stone, the old wall and the complex of the Collegiate of San Lorenzo, Vertemate Franchi Palace, the Mill of Bottonera.
