Outings on snow racquets at Madesimo

SNOW RACQUET TRAILS AROUND MADESIMO
 
Starting point: on the pathway which runs alongside the river, from the wooden bridge in front of the residence “Alla Gran Baita”
Arrival point: Via Brenta
Itinerary: the route moves up gradually from the centre of Madesimo to the Alpe Andossi, initially into woodland, before following along a sun-kissed plateau in the Mottaccio area from where it comes back down in a series of gentle curves to Madesimo.
Duration of the outing: around 1.30 – 2.00 hours
Height differential: around 200 metres
Difficulty: Suitable even for beginners
 
SNOW RACQUET TRAILS AROUND ISOLA
 
Starting point: Via baldiscio-Parrocchia of S. Martino
Arrival point: Via baldiscio-Parrocchia of S. Martino
Itinerary: the path climbs pretty steeply following the old mule track of the Baldiscio pass, then makes a sweeping turn incorporating flat sections, climbs and descents in the area around Ca Raseri. It then moves down through woodland bringing you back to the village, whilst taking in some rewarding glimpses of the historic Via Spluga.
Duration of the outing: around 1.30 – 2.00 hours
Height differential: around 250 metres
Difficulty: Medium
 
IT IS STRONGLY ADVISED THAT YOU DO NOT UNDERTAKE THE TRAIL WITHOUT THE USE OF SNOW RACQUETS. IN THE EVENT OF CHOOSING A CHALLENGING ROUTE PLEASE CONSIDER THE USE OF A LOCAL ALPINE GUIDE.
 
SNOW RACQUET HIRE IS AVAILABLE IN THE VILLAGE.
