The site hosts hundreds of alpine species from across the Alpine range and the mountain landscapes of Valchiavenna, organised into thematic sections that recreate different habitats, including high-altitude pastures, wetlands and rocky areas.

Among the species on display are edelweiss, gentians, rhododendrons, saxifrages and numerous medicinal and wild alpine plants.
