People continue to turn up in ever-increasing numbers throughout the season – not only from neighbouring areas but from far and wide, and Martin’s images clearly illustrate why.

There’s something for everyone around Madesimo and Campodolcino: from those looking to improve their technique on the more serious slopes to those taking their very first steps on the snow. Perfect for families with all the accompanying amenities of quality hotel and restaurant. Around 60km of ski slopes in total, all linked conveniently by modern transport systems right up to the 3000m of the imposing Pizzo Groppera. Martin - a great fan of free-ride in particular - confirms that challenges come thick and fast in the upper Valle Spluga. Perfect.

But there are more relaxing spots too with excellent refreshment options, a superbly-equipped snow-park, an area devoted to the very little ones and attractively-priced initiatives throughout the season.
